In an effort to make the invoicing process easier for you when you may print off an invoice and hand it or mail it to a customer of yours, we have added QR codes on any invoice you print out!
When your customer receives your printed invoice, there will be a QR code on the invoice that will allow them to scan that code and make a payment to you digitally.
Here's how it works:
When an invoice is printed using the printer icon that appears on the digital invoice, the printed invoice will display a QR code. Instructions below the QR code state: “Scan the QR code with your phone to pay this invoice online”.
NOTE: The QR code displayed is unique for that invoice. The code is not for repeated use to collect payments in general.
When the customer scans the QR code, the detailed invoice will appear in the device browser (the same view today when a customer clicks “view details and pay online” from an invoice notification email). The customer can click the Pay Online button to pay the invoice digitally.
