Autobooks makes it easy to enter in a budget that can be tracked against actual income and expenses for your business.
First select the Accounting tab from the side menu, then select Advanced, then Budget.
On the Budget page, you can either filter the budget by fiscal year, or by a specific month (period) within the fiscal year.
After you have the timeframe selected, you can enter the desired amounts for the accounting categories as needed.
After you've entered these values, you will want to click on the [Save Budget] button to commit the updates that you've made.
You can review these budgeted amounts and compare them against what you've actually categorized to each accounting category by viewing the budget report, which you can learn more about here.
